A refrigerator rarely dies without warning. It hums louder. It sweats on the door seal. Ice builds in the back wall. Milk turns before its date. Those are symptoms, and symptoms point somewhere: a failing compressor start relay, a clogged defrost drain, a stuck damper, a condenser fan that quit spinning, a control board that lost its mind. Our visit starts with questions, then a hands-on exam. We read temperatures in both compartments, listen at the compressor, check airflow, and test parts instead of guessing at them. Then we explain what we found in plain words, including what we would leave alone. Want a diagnosis or a second opinion on someone else's? Call us and describe what you're hearing.

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
We start with your description, since sounds and timing narrow things fast. Then we measure compartment temperatures, inspect the evaporator for frost, test the fans, and check electrical components with meters. Guesswork replaces parts; testing replaces the right one.
Frost on the rear panel usually means the defrost cycle stopped working. Heater, thermostat, sensor, or board are the usual suspects. Left alone, the frost blocks airflow and the fresh food side warms up. Worth looking at soon.
Unplugging it and letting it thaw overnight often restores cooling for a while. That's useful information, not a fix. If cooling returns after a thaw, the defrost system is the culprit and it will fail again.
Depends on the failure. A relay, fan, gasket, or drain clog is usually a sensible repair on almost any age unit. Sealed-system damage on a very old fridge is a different conversation. We tell you which side you're on.
Yes. Built-ins, French door, side-by-side, bottom freezer, and standard top freezer units all come through. We're an independent shop and service all major brands. Tell us the brand and model when you call us so we bring likely parts.
A closed refrigerator holds roughly four hours; a full freezer holds longer. Keep the doors shut, move dairy and meat to a cooler with ice, and skip the fridge for now. Then describe the symptom to us and we'll prioritize.
Tell us what you hear, smell, or see. Grinding? Puddle? Blinking code? Small details narrow the list of likely causes before we ever pull the machine away from the wall.
A technician runs through a checklist: power, controls, sensors, motors, seals, drainage. We test instead of guessing, then walk you through the actual fault and your repair options.
Some faults are worth fixing today. Others mean the appliance is near the end. We tell you which is which, then complete the repair once you say go.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the symptoms and we'll book the visit — takes about a minute.
